Legend of Zelda Dungeon Level 8

Now that you know where the secret location of Level 7 is in Legend of Zelda, you need to find a bush and use your candle on it to reveal the hidden stairs leading to Level 8 Dungeon.

Legend of Zelda Dungeon Level 8

To locate this bush, from the starting screen of the game, just go up once and then to the right 7 or 8 screens and you'll find the bush to use candle on.

Items to locate in Level 8 Dungeon:

The Magical Key, and the Book of Magic

Dungeon Walkthrough

Once inside, go right to grab key and then go left three times to get Book of Magic. Backtrack to starting room then go up twice and then right to get Compass and then go back left until you can no longer go left, clearing each room along the way getting a key in each. From the furthest left room go right once then up twice to get hint room on location of Level 9 dungeon: Spectacle Rock is an entrance to Death."

Go back down then to the right, then up. Remember this room with two fireball spewing statues, you'll need to come back here after getting Magical key. From room with statues, go up to get map, then up again and to the right for stair case leading to Magical key.

Come back and go up for bombs, then down and left for more bombs in case you need them along the way to boss for bombing walls or for boss fight. Either way, go back to room with those two statues you noted, and then go to right.

Go down stairs and you are now one room away from the boss.

In the first room you exit from stairs, bomb a hole in the wall to the north and enter boss room. The boss of level 8 Dungeon is a 4 headed Gleeok.

Legend of Zelda Boss Gleeok

Boss strategy for Gleeoks:

Gleeok fights are all the same, except the harder ones just have more heads! You fight this Gleeok the same way you fought the Gleeok in Level 4 Dungeon. Dodge his head attacks and swipe with sword. If you have full health, keep your distance and shoot your sword, however, if you do not, run in and swipe and try not to get hit.

Legend of Zelda Dungeon Level 7

Level 7, The Demon, is where you finally get the Red Candle, as well as, use that piece of meat you bought so long ago and haven't known what to do with.

Where is Level 7 anyway?

Level 7 entrance is hidden. You need the flute to reveal it. To find it, go to the only fairy-like pond screen that does not have a fairy. It is to the West of the fairy in the West. Simply, play your flute and the water will disappear, revealing the entrance to Level 7 dungeon in Legend of Zelda.

Legend of Zelda Dungeon Level 7

Once you are inside Level 7, go up, and bomb a hole in the wall to the left, there is a key if you go right four rooms, you can get it and come back to this room, then go left and down to room with snakes, get that key too then go up twice and take a right. Skip the door to the north with the three dodongos, it is a -100 rupees trick room.

Go right and then up twice, bomb a hole in the wall to the right and enter to get key. Go left twice and then up, give the hungry guy the meat and continue north to get the map.

Use key to go right and then up and right to get a key, back left then down and bomb a hole in the wall to the right and push up and left bock to take stairs to get candle. The Red Candle is used to burn the bush to get into the Level 8 Dungeon.

Item: Red Candle

Legend of Zelda Red Candle

Now that you have Red Candle its time to make our way to the boss of Level 7 Dungeon in Legend of Zelda, another Gleeok. From the room with stairs to candle go right twice then up and to the right. In the room with hands you need to push center block to reveal stairs to room next to boss. Take stairs and bomb hole in the wall to the right and defeat the Gleeok to get your heart container and triforce piece.

Boss Strategy: Gleeok

Fighting Gleeoks are all the same. Aim from far and shoot your sword if you are at full life, or run in and swipe with your sword. Do this until you beat the Gleeok and get ready for Level 8.

Legend of Zelda Dungeon Level 6

Back on track after the previous Legend of Zelda Dungeon Level 5 entry. I have finished beating the original Legend of Zelda for walkthroughs, and have only a few more dungeons to post.

Enter Dungeon Level 6 then go up one room and defeat the Wizzrobes and get the key. Go left and do the same. Go north and then use key to go left. Use key to go north again from the room with fireball spitting statues.

Legend of Zelda Dungeon Level 6

North of this room is hint room: "South of arrow mark hides a secret." Once you get secret, go back south and then left. Use hidden stairs after pushing up on block behind the trap in the middle on the left. Here is where you find the ladder.

Go back to the hint room, and bomb the wall to the right. Grab the map and continue right and blow a hole in the north wall in the room to the right of the map room. Grab the compass and in the next room push up on the far left middle row block. Once you take stairs you are close to the boss, but you must first defeat a three headed Gleeok before reaching Gohma, the final boss of the level 6 dungeon in Legend of Zelda.

After you take the stairs, you can bomb the southern wall to get a key, but you must return to the stair room afterwards to continue to the right. From the stair room, go right and defeat three-headed Gleeok.

Continue East and push left block to reveal a third staircase. Before you reach Gohma, in the next room you face a Manhandla type of monster. Use bombs to defeat it quickly, then equip your bow.

The reason I don't have a screenshot of Gohma is because you can kill him so easily, I did it with one shot and wasn't able to get a screenshot of it, I did it so quickly! Just aim one good arrow and hit in the eye and you win.

I fired a single arrow as soon as I entered the room on accident and killed him with one shot, so this is not a hard boss once you know how to kill Gohma. Pick up your heart container and grab your triforce piece. And get ready for Level 7..

Dragon Warrior Mountain Cave

Since Dragon Warrior Revisited, I've wanted to play a little bit of the old NES Dragon Warrior classic every now and then when I have a little spare time.

The first dungeon you face with monsters to fight in Dragon Warrior is the Mountain Cave.

The entrance to Mountain Cave can be found here, just West of the starting castle.

Dragon Warrior Mountain Cave

Before you enter though make sure you brought along some torches so you can find your way around in the dark, some herbs to heal yourself, as well as, full magic points so you can either cast HURT on enemies or HEAL spell on yourself.

Inside you will find treasure chests that give you an herb, a torch, some gold, and the fighters ring.

Here is the map to find your way around Rock Mountain cave

Dragon Warrior Mountain Cave Map

Do this dungeon over and over to increase your experience levels and your gold. Save up to get the Hand Axe in Kol and the Large Shield in Garingham.

These old NES dungeons cave us some of our first sense of wandering around in a Fantasy world and then stumbling upon a doorway into a creepy underground dungeon. Be careful to time your heal spells and know when its time to get out of there. Use the map I made and you'll find Mountain Cave to be fun, but not much of a threat to the Dragon Warrior!

Blackfathom Deeps

Update: New WOW dungeon map added for Blackfathom Deeps

Last night I wanted to run a few quick dungeon instances on my Holy Priest and level her up a little... I got from 25 to level 27 doing a couple quests and a few dungeon runs.

I have played World of Warcraft for awhile now, have leveled a 70 Mage and have never had many problems playing successfully with other players online.

Holy Priest healing Blackfathom Deeps

But last night, some mage decided to try and blame me for his own lack of skill. He kept pulling aggro and I kept having to save him, he was draining my mana and taking away heals from the main tank (whom I've done plenty of runs with) so once we get to the first altar in Blackfathom Deeps I encourage him to right click the altar to get the buff, I can't recall the name, but after you defeat one of the early bosses you click his altar and it buffs you for the 60 mins with a nice spirit + intellect +frost damage buff.

I wasn't even looking his direction, but as I swung my camera view around I noticed he was drinking for mana... his reply to me "chill, I am drinking" as if I was rushing him, he then started to go off saying I was "awful at the game" which made the other four members of the group quickly defend me and my heals, considering I had kept them alive through many dungeons in the past and in addition had kept this specific DPS alive LOL

So I LOLed at him, and kept my cool and calmy stated "relax, I just wanted you to get the buff, I wasn't rushing you, and my heals must not be that bad because they've certainly kept you alive through your aggro management errors." he didn't like that, but it ended the quarrel...

Negative players always amuse me, trying to blame the healer because you keep pulling aggro and getting attacked, is hilarious. As many have told me, let him die and just heal the others, but I refuse to do that, I rather look like a great holy priest who kept every member alive through 4 dungeon instances with no deaths than let some guy die just because he sucks at being a mage. However, I must be honest, I DID let his HP drop to less than half a couple times before bubbling him with Power Word: Shield and healing him lol just to make him nervous. :)

As usual, I then said, lets just keep moving, so we finished the dungeon and I went turn in the quests, and hit level 27, then logged.

My advice to anyone in a group with an abusive member, either try to ignore it and push on, or simply leave. Especially as a priest, you are keeping the entire group alive and without you, they couldn't move forward, there is no need to take anything from some 14 year old behind a nick on an MMORPG.
